COVID-19 Disappears During Minister’s Near-Death Experience… ‘A Miracle of Biblical Proportions’4/24/2020 
In mid-March, Dr. Robert Mawire texted GODSPEED Magazine, requesting prayer because he was deathly ill with a coronavirus infection.
“Call for the saints to fast and pray for me. I am dying of coronavirus in South Africa,” Mawire told GODSPEED Magazine publisher Jeremy Lamont. Earlier this week, Mawire sent GODSPEED Magazine a video he recorded about his experience, along with a front-page newspaper story in the South African newspaper, Volksblad, praising God for saving his life during this resurrection experience with COVID-19. “I was on my death bed,” says Mawire, who is featured in the May “Mobilizing” issue of GODSPEED Magazine in a story titled, “God’s Secret Weapon: Dr. Robert Mawire’s Shortwave Radio Network.” “Your prayers were answered because Jesus is alive. He is risen. God answered the prayers and a miracle of biblical proportions took place.”
Mawire, the founder and president of WRNO Worldwide (www.wrnoworldwide.com), a global broadcasting platform for the gospel that has the third largest reach among shortwave radio networks after Voice of America and the BBC, says he believes he’s alive today “to share with you the greatness of our God.”
“When we walk with Jesus, we are not afraid of what’s happening around us, especially in these days with coronavirus, a deadly disease,” says Mawire, whose full story about the radical ways God is using him is told in GODSPEED Magazine’s May “Mobilizing” issue.
From the ‘Bottomless Pit’ to the ‘Greatest Experience in My Life’
During his recent trip to South Africa, Mawire, a pastor ministering in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for four decades and a spiritual leader and counselor to world leaders such as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, says he got so sick with the coronavirus that he wound up in the hospital and “literally had a near-death experience.”
“I went to the bottomless pit,” Mawire says. “I saw face to face the devil and I looked into his face and I said, ‘Blood of Jesus,’ and the blood of Jesus knocked him down, and I got up from the bottomless pit in the valley of the shadow of death victorious.
“And the doctors walked in and said, ‘There is nothing wrong with you.’ They dismissed me immediately within one hour of that experience. It was the greatest experience in my life.” Mawire says the coronavirus had taken over his whole body, but the Spirit of God came upon him and he began to release the infection. “Everything came out, on the bed, on the floor, and all the diseases were gone because of the power of the blood of Jesus,” Mawire says. “The blood of Jesus is greater than every disease, the blood of Jesus is greater than the powers of hell. You and I need to stay under the blood of Jesus.”
“Every day you should stand on the blood of Jesus because when I said, ‘Blood of Jesus,’ the devil could not get my life, the devil couldn’t get me. The power of hell was crushed, and I got out.”
A Sign of the Times … Antichrist is Alive Today Mawire says the coronavirus pandemic sweeping the world is a “sign of the end of time.” “The Lord Jesus Christ is coming back soon,” Mawire says. “The Antichrist, the son of perdition, is alive today. We’re now in the final decade – the decade of destiny, the greatest decade. “What kind of decade is it? It’s the decade of the greatest revival, the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God is being poured on the earth without measure. The fire from heaven is coming upon us to fight the fire from hell. You cannot fight the fire from hell without the fire from heaven.” Mawire says people need a new baptism, “a baptism of fire.” “You need a new encounter with the person of the Holy Spirit,” he says. “You need to be able to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. You need to be led by God. You need to know the mind of God.”
When he first got to Johannesburg, one of the most volatile and murderous cities in the world, under the coronavirus lockdown, unable to find a hotel on his first night, he found himself about to be dropped on the side of a road in a “great city with nowhere to go.”
“In moments of crisis, what do you do, when you have nowhere to go, in the middle of the night, in a hostile city, in a murderous city, what do you do? Turn to the Lord,” Mawire says. “I said, ‘God, we have nowhere to go. You have a place for us. Tell me what you want?’” Immediately, the Holy Spirit spoke to him, saying: “Call this number.” He called the number and the man he spoke to spoke to the owner who said they had one room left. So, Mawire was able to get that room “prepared by Jesus.” Front-Page News in South Africa … ‘Everyone Saw the Greatness of God’
Given that he’s a minister, some people may ask how a man of God could become sick with coronavirus, Mawire says.
“Why would (coronavirus) come upon you as man of God? What was that all about? All things work for the good of them that love God, who are called according to His purpose. What was the purpose? “My story became front-page news in the national newspaper so everyone in South Africa saw the greatness of God, the power of God over (coronavirus). This is what God was doing. We walk with a great God, with a wonderful God, because God wants to show everyone that there is power in the blood of Jesus to overcome (coronavirus). “It’s become the greatest story in all of South Africa because God, our God, is in control. And our God has a bigger, better plan. All you have to do is yield yourself completely to Him and say, ‘Thy will be done.’ We live for the glory of God. We are called to show forth His glory.”
Every Problem is a Prospect for a Miracle
During this difficult time when nearly 3 million people have become infected with coronavirus and nearly 200,000 have died worldwide, Mawire says it’s vital to listen to the Spirit. “In these days, the way out is to look up,” Mawire says. “Only he can deliver you. The Lord is your help in time of need. He that dwells under the shadow of the Almighty shall say of the Lord, He’s my refuge, my hiding place. There is a hiding place. There is nothing to fear because God is in control. There is nothing to fear because Jesus is risen.” Mawire is back home in Texas now and is looking forward to sharing more about his experiences, the signs of the times, the time on God’s prophetic clock, and what to expect next? “What’s going to happen after (coronavirus?) How far are we into the time of the end of time, the last days? These are the things I’ll be sharing with you. These are the things that you need to know. Because He is risen, there is no reason to fear. The best is yet to come. The greatest times are before you. The most wonderful times are before you. “Don’t listen to the world’s panic and fear because God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of sound mind. You have to rejoice in the midst of the chaos because these are signs of the times that are leading to the one-world government. “These are the signs of the times that are going to lead to the collapse of the global economy. These are the things that the Bible talks about that must take place, but God says, ‘Fear not. I’m with you. I’m in you to protect you, to guide you, to lead you. You have nothing to fear because I’m always there with you.’”
