Ever since May 14,1948 when David Ben-Gurion, executive head of the World Zionist Organization, declared the independence and (re) establishment of the State of Israel, this country, so precious to committed lovers of Jesus, has been under almost constant threat to its survival as a nation.

On May 11,1949 the State of Israel was admitted to membership in the United Nations with UN Resolution 273 after receiving the approval of 37 countries: Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, ByelorussianSSR, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Czechoslovakia, Dominican_Republic, Ecuador, France, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Iceland, Liberia, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, South Africa, Ukrainian SSR, USSR, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela, Yugoslavia.

Following the successful war of independence in 1948-49, there were at least six major conflicts between 1967 and 1973. In the Six-Day War of June 1967, the Gaza Strip was taken back by Israel, and retained for the next quarter century. There have been several other existential battles that Israel has faced since then.

Now Israel is facing yet another major crisis with the unrest between Israeli citizens of Arab background (about 20 percent of the population of the country) and Jewish Israelis in Jerusalem and other cities in Israel with large populations of both Jews and Arabs. Some have warned of the danger of a full scale civil war breaking out between Jews and Arabs in the country.

Christians must pray earnestly that the ethnic rivalry between Jews and Arabs deescalates. There is a major danger of civil war along ethnic lines, and this would be a catastrophe for the country. The Hamas charter, published in 1988, calls on Muslims everywhere to fight for the destruction of Israel. It also specifically invites Muslims to kill Jews wherever they find them.

​Will Israel Take Back the Gaza Territory?

Israel, which gave up the Gaza Strip to the Palestinian National Authority in 2007, has faced persistent rocket barrages into its territory from Islamist groups like Hamas operating in Gaza.

If the Israeli government feels it has no alternative to the current belligerence of the Islamists of Gaza than to invade and take back the Gaza territory, the international ramifications will be gigantic.

Naturally, Israel will come under the global condemnation at the United Nations and elsewhere by people who regard the Palestinian demands as non-negotiable.

As far as Israelis are concerned, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made it clear that the destructive attitude of Islamists has united the Jewish people as never before.

We don’t know yet what the attitude will be of the United States, but we do know that under Biden administration, America has been much less supportive of Israel than it was under former President Donald Trump, Biden’s predecessor.

​Hundreds of Missiles Fired into Israel

Palestinian Islamic groups in Gaza, which is governed by the Islamic Resistance Movement also known as Hamas, have launched thousands of missiles into Israel. These have killed and wounded dozens of Israeli citizens.

Israel has responded by launching strikes against military targets in Gaza, including at individuals associated with planning the strikes against Israel and the actual locations from where the rockets are launched.

Inevitably, civilians have been killed and wounded in Gaza who were unconnected with the Israeli-Palestinian issue. This is the worst violence in years between Israelis and Palestinians, with hundreds of Palestinians killed and wounded, and the United Nations warned the conflict could mushroom into “full-scale war.”

This week, Netanyahu warned Hamas that if they did not suppress the rockets being launched into the Gaza territory in Israel, there would be a profound military assault on the country by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

There are reports of many tanks being assembled close to the Israeli border with Gaza. Many people have interpreted Netanyahu’s ultimatum as a warning that Israel may completely invade Gaza as a whole territory with its ground forces.

A full-scale land invasion would be much more serious than any previous wars involving Palestinians.
Essentially, Israel would be taking back, at least temporarily, the entire administration and livelihood of those living on the Gaza Strip. The destruction caused as a result of a military initiative would have profound consequences internationally.

Biblically speaking, the Lord our God does not instruct us to trade land He's given us for peace (see Deuteronomy 7).

Pray Earnestly for Israel

Followers of Jesus in the United States and internationally do not have the luxury of not being concerned about what happens in Israel. In fact, ever since President Harry Truman recognized the new state of Israel within minutes of its Declaration of Independence by Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion, American Christians have been instinctively pro Israel. Let us pray that this biblically-based affinity for the Jewish state remains strong, in spite of pressures within the Biden administration to follow a different course.

The future of Christian believers all over the world is in many ways intimately bound up with the destiny of Israel.

We Christians must pray earnestly for grace and wisdom for that country and its leaders, even as we live out our own destiny in God’s kingdom.

Sometimes a casual comment in a conversation by telephone can alert you to something profoundly serious going on in a country.

I was talking to a friend in Moscow whom I have known for more than two decades. We never mention the word (Russian President Vladimir) Putin because I assume his international calls are all eavesdropped, but what he said shocked me, nonetheless.  

‘A Colossal Threat to Free Speech in Russia’

He said the atmosphere in Russia was now “more north than North Korea.”

Specifically, he said that mere conversations by phone could be simply interrupted if one of the eavesdropping security services did not like what was being said. This is a colossal threat to free speech in Russia.

The recent decision of Russian jailed oppositionist Alexei Navalny to discontinue his hunger strike is a wise move. He could have died, or even worse, they could have force-fed him. That would have been the cruelty equivalent to torture.

In any event it does seem that Russia’s domestic political situation is becoming more extreme and when domestic politics become more extreme the national policies of the nation involved also become more aggressive.

We don’t know yet whether Russian troops will be intervening in the Ukrainian border areas, but currently they have been withdrawn and Russia is emphasizing that the military exercises have been completed.

This principle of aggressive domestic policies leading to bellicose international policies applies to North Korea itself and to China. 

North Korea’s Aggressive Approach to South Korea

North Korea’s public invitation to President Joe Biden to meet for talks is less important than North Korea’s aggressive approach to South Korea.

North Korea will remain a serious danger in the world for as long as it continues to be hostile and bellicose towards its neighboring state.

China itself continues to be verbally aggressive toward countries that criticize its internal behavior.

The recent meeting between U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Alaska was ridiculed by the Chinese and described disparagingly by officials close to the Biden administration.

Meanwhile, the situation in Myanmar continues to be disturbing. At some point international sanctions by both the United States and the European Union could threaten the regime into even more aggressive policies toward people who protest the coup d’état implemented by the military.

Sporadic Global Unrest Amid COVID-19 Restrictions

Meanwhile, sporadic global unrest in the face of continuing COVID-19 restrictions on people is likely to continue.

Poor India is suffering an explosive increase in cases of the virus, and evidence is that future variants of COVID-19 will be even more harmful than existing ones.

The lockdowns imposed on France and Spain by their governments have elicited violent protests ,and in the case of Spain, domestic political unrest.

Meanwhile, there seem to be international controversies provoked by significant anniversaries.

France is going through its version of Black Lives Matter unrest because many French are unwilling to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the death of French emperor Napoléon Bonaparte because he reimposed slavery on France after it was abolished by the French Revolution.

In China, the more than one century anniversary of the May 4 movement of 1919 could give rise to protests in Hong Kong and other Chinese citizens against government repression of opposition.

There’s no way I could have predicted that this would happen, but I suppose that’s all of life. You take a leap of faith and from there you just go.”

​Who is guilty of conspiring to suppress the First Amendment rights of Americans?

Evidence has emerged that points to the California Secretary of State. Even more shocking are the co-conspirators indicated including Facebook, Google, Twitter, and others including POTUS Joe Biden.

Facebook's "third-party fact-checkers" are meant to provide the platform's users with Facebook's versions of truth. One example of Facebook's facts surfaced in a scandal related to donations made to Planned Parenthood. Snopes reported,

"​In 2012 Mark Zuckerberg donated 18 million Facebook shares (reportedly worth $500 million at the time to community groups) ...including Planned Parenthood." 

​FACT: Zuckerberg has never publicly denounced the murder of infants in the womb. Have Zuckerberg/Facebook concluded that they've "debunked" the word of God? 

On March 24th, 2021 GODSPEED Magazine's Facebook page was banned from advertising on Facebook for not conforming to their "Misinformation Advertising Policy." 

Although Facebook believes their 'version' of truth is sovereign, Jesus Christ stated in John 14:6, "I am The way, The truth, and The life. NO ONE comes to The Father except through me." (Emphasis ours.) 

In an article dated April 28th, 2021 The Epoch Times wrote,

"Big Tech companies have drawn intense scrutiny for perceived political bias and alleged unbalanced moderation of users’ content. Critics say much of the companies’ moderation in the past year has unfairly targeted conservative speech and speech from individuals deemed to be supporters of former President Donald Trump."

Evidence of conspiracy was obtained by the government watchdog group, Judicial Watch, who made an open records request to the office of the Secretary of State of California and subsequently obtained 540 pages of proof. Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said,

“These new documents suggest a conspiracy against the First Amendment rights of Americans by the California Secretary of State, the Biden campaign operation, and Big Tech."

The Epoch Times article noted that SKDKnickerbocker, a communications company linked to President Joe Biden’s election campaign, was involved in the censoring of speech during last year’s election period. SKDKnickerbocker allegedly shared their “Misinformation Daily Briefings” with California officials, who passed them on to social media giants Facebook, Twitter, and Google for dissemination.

“Before You Like This Page.”

That is the message someone got from Facebook, saying they might want to “review GODSPEED Magazine to see the types of content is usually shares” before liking the page.  

In recent months, we have seen former President Donald Trump, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, actor Kevin Sorbo and many other Christians banned from social media platforms. 

A recent Pew Research Center survey found about three-quarters of American adults say it is very or somewhat likely that social media sites intentionally censor political viewpoints that they find objectionable.

Prior to a recent Democrat-led House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing labeled “Disinformation and Extremism in the Media,” Democratic representatives wrote letters to Comcast, AT&T, COX, and Verizon, demanding that they stop “the spread of dangerous misinformation” from right-leaning news outlets such as Fox News, Newsmax, and One America News Network.   

We have all seen this shocking suppression and censorship of conservative viewpoints and, frankly, it is not only un-American, but also anathema to the free speech and religious freedom rights enshrined in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

The race against Biden's agenda has started. It's time to take control now -- or is it too late?

Pres. Biden said the only way to restore America's soul was "unity, unity." He showed how insincere he is about pursuing it only hours later when he picked up a pen and declared war on people of faith. But then, it's not like he didn't warn us. ​Young Belle Winters, played by actress Jenn Gotzon, was constantly told by her mother that she was beautiful because of her hair, her flawless young skin, and her figure, and that these things would bring her joy in life. So, it was no shock Belle thought true beauty was a thing that appeared on the outside. Being surrounded by images of beautiful women on the cover of magazines and being told your looks are going to take you far in life, set the stage for a young Belle to want to be a model in order to gain society’s acceptance.

Belle does become a model but is left with an empty void because maintaining a certain image hasn’t fulfilled her.  You can’t fill voids with worldy things, we all know that. This movie follows Belle’s journey of figuring herself out by stepping into grace. She realizes while looks are beautiful, they don’t make you a beautiful person. True beauty comes from within when you decide to be completely yourself. But this journey wasn’t an easy one for Belle to figure out. It took some self-work, a lost bracelet, the grace of God, and a lot of pig’s mud (you’re going to have to watch the movie to figure that one out) for her to understand what makes up beauty.

​Ask Angela Stanton King about the fathers who were reunited with their sons as a result of the First Step Act. For once, a president had the guts to do something about the unequal sentencing of people of color. God used this president.

Who?

In June of 2020, after fifteen people from the Trump administration personally visited the streets of Los Angeles, the massive announcement was made: $2.96 billion dollars was committed to our nation's biggest homeless population on Skid Row in Los Angeles, California.

But even after Secretary Ben Carson (who was one of the 15) issued the funding under HUD through the Cares Act... Los Angeles Democratic politicians reappropriated (stole) the funding (money) and declared that no funding would go to any of the Christian missions who are STILL TIRELESSLY working to serve the populations on the street.

What did they demand Christians - who've devoted their lives to serving Jesus - do if they wanted funding? They demanded Christians follow the "No Harm" model (sick twisting of words) which requires that Christian homeless missions would have to allow every addict and alcoholic to continue their addictions without interference. No interfering or suggesting anyone come off of any substance. "No Harm" is a policy seemingly written directly by the hand of the devil.

In the video below, you'll witness the work of Reverend Andy Bales and Union Rescue Mission in Los Angeles. Rev. Bales had his leg amputated because of a virus he contracted serving the homeless on the streets. Then Rev. Bales chose to roll his wheelchair back into Skid Row and continue serving Jesus.

But this is a love story... so let's get back to those who have committed their lives to "the least of these."

Those who continue to do God's will.

Consider the value of the millions of lives that were POSITIVELY impacted by God's hand on this administration. For just one moment put yourself aside. Imagine seeing the blessings God has created for millions of people over the last four years through God's eyes.

God's word makes clear that homosexuality is a sin but God is the righteous judge and we are called to love our neighbor as ourselves. We have ALL fallen short. Our God sees our sins as equal so consider how many times you've gossiped, wished to have have what your neighbor has (coveted), or worshipped a false idol (like football, money, stars, etc). We all need to repent daily. Praise God when we do not consider ourselves as more but serve the 'least of these' with compassion. Believers must continue to extend the gift given to us of grace, and mercy in Christ's blood (7 x 70) AND speak the truth in love. Not for condemnation but because all God's works are done in truth (Psalms 33:4), here are references to God's word: Leviticus 20:13, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Romans 1:26-27 , 1 Corinthians 6:9 , Romans 1:26, Romans 1:18-32
