Today I choose to follow You.
Today I choose to give my yes to You.
Today I choose to hear Your voice and live.
Today I choose to follow You.

As for me and my house we will serve You.
As for me and my house we will spend our Iives on You.

I
n Micah 6:8, He tells us how to follow Him: “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

This verse speaks of keeping our hearts in tune with God’s heart so we can receive His Word for victory in our lives.

Proverb 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Without faith it is impossible to please God. So, we must learn to walk by faith throughout our lives. This is not done intellectually or legalistically. It’s not a mind thing; it’s a heart thing.

As Jesus said to Peter in John 21:15 after giving him a boatload of fish and making him breakfast: “‘Simon son of John, do you love me more than these?’ ‘Yes, Lord,’ he said, ‘you know that I love you.’ Jesus said, ‘Feed my lambs.’”

Jesus asked Peter, “Do you love me?” So, in our lives God wants to teach us through our faith in moving the hand of God to help us in the circumstances of our lives. Our life is a love relationship with Jesus, experiencing His divine intervention in our lives.

Life is a Love Relationship with Jesus

When I was 17 during the summer of my senior year in high school, I was asked to work for the high school camp at Word of Life Bible Camp on an island in Schroon Lake, New York.

The camp was on an Island in Schroon Lake. Each week, “boat boys” in big Chris-Craft boats transported hundreds of teenagers on and off the Island.

I arrived at the camp to find out that I was a “boat boy” because I grew up on a lake water-skiing and driving ski boats. I was the only staff person in high school while the rest of the staff were in college.

The favor of God was upon my life. I did a water ski show each week with some professional skiers. As one of the shows ended, the boat was out away from the shore and a professional diver ask me to swim to shore with him.

We dove into the water with no life jackets and began to swim. We were a quarter of a mile from the boat house when I lost all ability to move, began to sink into the water, and was drowning.

My friend saw this, grabbed me, and swam us to the shore. Another person had drowned there two years before, Dawson Trotman, founder of the Navigators, but it wasn’t my time to go. God saved me.

Afterward, they asked me to go over to the mainland each afternoon and teach the adults at the inn how to water-ski. It was the last day of the summer and I got the ski boat and left the dock to get the lifeguard to ride with me.

The motor stalled. It was a hot day and the battery on the motor was dead so I had to start it by hand and jumped into the water by the boat, turned the motor toward me, and pulled the hand crank.

Much to my surprise the boat took off with the throttle wide open and no one in the boat.

As I watched the boat, I realized I was going to have a debt I could not pay when the boat crashed into something. It was going in circles and continued to pass in front of me. A great crowd of people gathered to watch.

As the boat was getting closer to shore, I saw it would go through the dock where people had gathered. My only hope was to get in front of the boat in the water and jump up and grab the side to try and get back in the boat.

I knew if I failed. I would be cut by the motors’ propeller. In the presence of the Lord God Almighty I jumped. God gave me supernatural ability to get back in and drive the boat to the dock were people were applauding and asking, “Who wants to ski first?”

We Serve an Awesome God!

We serve an awesome God!

So, I would ask you today, do we live like Jesus and do we know His saving, keeping power as Peter did? Jesus is the same yesterday, today. and forever.

Matthew 18:19-20 says: “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Mark 11:23-24 says, “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”?

So, we pray for miracles, remembering the miracle of the day of our own salvation.

Prepare the Way

He has come to bring light into the darkness
He has come to bring freedom to the captives
He has come to restore the broken hearted
It’s time to proclaim the year of the Lord.

Prepare the way. Prepare the way for our Redeemer
Prepare the way. Prepare the way for our Restorer
Make ready your hearts
Make ready your home
Make ready the people of God.
Prepare the Way.

He has come to bring hope to the hopeless
He has come to comfort all who mourn
He has come to heal our every sickness
It’s time to proclaim the year of the Lord.

Prepare
Prepare
Preparing the way of the Lord
Prepare
Prepare
Prepare

Prepare the way.

The Lord Operates in the Supernatural

The Lord operates in the supernatural and not in the natural.

That is why the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:13 says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

God leads us to a crossroads that leads us to a breakthrough that leads us to be an overcomer.

Two movies we promoted at the Movieguide Awards that were both recognized at the gala earlier this year are Breakthrough and Overcomer. Both told of the miraculous hand of God in people’s lives.

All this happens through faith in the Word of God. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

Isaiah 54:17 says, “‘No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,’ declares the Lord.”

Hebrews 1:14 says, “Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?”

Angels are With Us

Angels are with us.

2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”

The Holy Spirit is in us. So, faith works through the gifts of the Holy Spirit in us, not as a stressful spirit or a religious spirit.

Galatians 5:6 says, “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.”

The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. It is not a self-serving control spirit that produces strife.

James 3:16 says, “For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.”

We must humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God so He can exalt us in due time.

My father never let me drive his car or his boat when I was growing up. I mowed his lawn, washed his car, shoveled the snow off the walks and the driveway, and painted his house.

I left home to go to Word of Life Bible Camp for the summer. And he missed me so in my senior year of high school that he bought the nicest car in town and let me drive it, and the nicest boat and let me drive it.

1 Corinthians 2:9 says, “However, as it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’ -- the things God has prepared for those who love him.”

Glory to God!

Glory to God!

Mark 11:25 says, “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.”

Our God is the God of more than enough. We are blessed beyond all measure.

Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

We all will be taken to the potters’ house.

Jesus. Jesus. Oh, Jesus there’s just something about that name. Master, Savior, Jesus, like the fragrance after the rain. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Let all heaven and earth proclaim. Kings and kingdoms will all pass away, but there’s something about that Name.

His Name is Wonderful. His name is Wonderful. His name is Wonderful. Jesus my Lord. He is the mighty King, master of everything. His name is Wonderful. Jesus my Lord. He’s the great Shepherd, the Rock of all ages. Almighty God is He. Bow down before Him. Love and adore Him, His name is Wonderful. Jesus my Lord.

He is Lord. He is Lord. He has risen from the dead and He is Lord. Every knee shall bow, every tongue confesses, that Jesus Christ is Lord.
