Several thousand years ago, Moses – the leader of the Israelites in their exodus from Egyptian slavery and oppression to freedom in the Promised Land – built an altar and called it, “The Lord is my Banner.”

“He said, ‘Because hands were lifted up against the throne of the Lord, the Lord will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation’” (Exodus 17:16).

Likewise, today, we must save our county and the world from the forces of evil.

Many people are uncomfortable today with preaching and teaching about spiritual warfare. Yet, Hosea 4:6 says, “My people perish from lack of knowledge.” So, we must break through this mindset and go to the Living Word of God as our total authoritative teaching to obtain victory in life.

Precise and explicit instructions are given to us on this in Ephesians 6:10-12: “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
No Police Force or Army Can Fight This Battle

No police force or army can fight this battle. For the battle is the Lord’s.

Read Psalm 24:1-8: “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters. Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god. They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob. Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.”

The King of Glory is here to help us. “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” (Matthew 11:15).
We Must Call on the Name of the Lord for Help

We must confess our sins of commission and omission and call on the name of the Lord for help.
Hebrews 13:6 tells us, “So we say with confidence, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?’”

Listen! We must be specific in calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. There is power the Name!
Pray and rebuke Satan, saying, “In the name of Jesus.” Everywhere you go in everything you do pray this!
We are at war with the enemy. Remember greater is He that is in us (Jesus) than he that is in the world (Satan).

Jesus told us that in this world we would have tribulation but be of good cheer for “I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
We Overcome Satan with the Blood of the Lamb

We overcome Satan with the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony!

Revelation 12:11 says, “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb  and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”

Philippians 2:8-11 tells us: “And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Speak His name over and over. It was Pentecost Sunday last Sunday so today pray in tongues and humble yourself under the mighty hand of God.

Jude, the brother of Jesus who walked with Him and talked with Him throughout his life says,  “But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit” (Jude 20).
Get on the phone with Christian friends and pray in agreement.

The best way to do this is to pray in tongues and allow the Holy Spirit to intercede for us.
In the name of Jesus, Satan, you are a defeated foe. Hallelujah!
